Police Dish Out 73 Tickets In New I-684 Detail

Dozens of tickets were dished out by New York State Police troopers during a new special speed enforcement detail on I-684 in Westchester County this week.

During the detail on Tuesday, July 24, troopers issued a total of 73 tickets during the morning commute on the I-684 corridor.

According to police, these details will continue throughout the year as troopers make an effort to curtail dangerous driving and keep highways safe for motorists.

The speed enforcement detail comes on the heels of several others, which has seen hundreds of motorists cited for various violations on New York roadways this year.

Last week, 73 tickets were also issued during a similar detail. In total, police doled out 48 speeding tickets, one summons for a motorist not wearing a seatbelt and 25 other tickets for various violations of vehicle and traffic law.
